For Private circulation only

Dear Member,

It's been 2 months since I last wrote advising you of the various steps we have taken with the imposition of the Lockdown, as a result of the Pandemic.

Since then, with the easing of restrictions under Unlock 1, through various circulars, you have been informed of some of the facilities in the Club that have been partially re-opened observing all safety protocols and social distancing:

  1. The sales of Alcohol from our Off Shop.
  2. The opening of the Tennis courts at fixed timings
  3.  The use of the walking track at fixed hours.

We also plan to start takeaway services of limited food items from both the Club Kitchen and Don Giovanni shortly. The opening of the Restaurant will take some more time. Work on the Storage Room at the far left hand corner of the Grounds as well as the refurbishment of the Club Secretary's Room which had commenced before the lockdown, has now been taken up and will be completed hopefully by the end of this month.

Although the club is observing all the safety protocols as laid down by the Govt. please note that members may use the above club facilities at their own risk and liabilities.

We are in the process of and plan to commence up-gradation of the Club Kitchen at the Tandoor area as well as the Entrance into the Club from the Lagden gate. More details will be shared and I will continue to update you regularly on the future course and steps taken depending on the Govt regulations and updates on the lockdown.

I would be failing in my duty if I did not thank our Staff, our Security and Housekeeping Agencies for their support in ensuring that the Club was and is being well maintained and kept secure throughout the lockdown period, with all of them anxious for the Club to get back to normal. You will be glad to know that we have paid all employees their salaries for the months of March, April and May without any delay.

Seeing the current situation and increase in Covid-19 cases it seems that Covid-19 is here to stay. It is sincerely hoped that in the not too distant future, we will get back to as near normal situation as possible, though it may never be the same. Till then, on behalf of the General Committee I pray that you, your family and all your loved ones stay safe and healthy.
